Pool-Billiard Association Of Nigeria

Pool-Billiard Association of Nigeria - PBAN, the sole affiliate member of AAPA in Nigeria, and automatically a member of the WPA World Pool – Billiards Association. The objective of the pool body is to develop the game, increase its acceptance in the country and its national relevance, give hope to players and enthusiasts, and to take game to another level altogether by bringing all interests (Enthusiasts, players and Sponsors) under the same umbrella.
Being members of the world body we use our position and opportunities to organize accredited competitions locally and ensure that the association members represent Nigeria in internationally organized pool, snooker and billiard games and events.


Vision
Our vision is to see the game of Pool and Billiards emerge a game of very high national relevance, actively played at all levels locally and internationally, bringing prosperity to the players, administrators and sponsors, and also maximum enjoyment to all lovers of the game. 

Mission
Our mission is to facilitate the access for Nigerian Ball Players to have the best of Pool, snooker and Billiards sporting opportunities available in the world.


The National Pool Festival
The 2008 Pool festival will span thru the month of July and have the grand finale at The Planet one Event place. The prelims shall be held in 60 pool houses around Nigeria. The prelims shall aim at selecting the best players to converge at the final aimed at producing 10 male and 5 female to  represent Nigeria at the all African and also the world competition coming up in September at South Africa and Swaziland respectively. The pool houses to be used and their location are

The Prizes
The first prize will be a car and one million naira which also stands as a salary to promote the game of pool for one year in accordance with the desires of the pool billiard association of Nigeria.
There shall also be 10 male and 5 female  all expense paid participation to the all African and world competition which will include travel accommodation and feeding. And dozens of consolation prizes

An opening now exists to be part of what promises to be an exciting journey, which will provide your organisation with the opportunity to be part of a dynamic sporting brand, such as PBAN, giving you the chance to enhance the image of your COMPANY as a good corporate citizen through acknowledgment of support and association with sports through the Nigeria Pool Team. The official uniform for the tournament from the preliminaries to the final shall be branded polo shirts, which shall create a great brand awareness opportunity as our media partners including about 6 print 4 radio and 5 television media houses shall cover the whole process. And most of all your COMPANY will give our best players the opportunity to compete at the 2008 All African Pool Association (AAPA) Championship and the world pool Championships all in August, helping to keep the youths off the street and to be the best they can be now and in the future.
